About Us
Ames Golden K Kiwanis Club is an active, energetic group of seniors who enjoy learning and serving. Our weekly meetings are from 9:25-10:30 am on Thursdays at the First Methodist Church, 516 Kellogg Avenue in Ames, with congenial fellowship starting before the meeting about 9:00. We would love to have you visit anytime!

Dennis Keeney was in to drop off household hazardous waste and indicated on his survey form that Golden K might like to have me come speak at a meeting. It’s been a while since I presented last time! My name is Elizabeth Beck. I am the Development Officer for the Ames Public Library Friends Foundation. I know that Jerri Heid, our Youth Director has been a presenter to your group and the Golden K has been generous in supporting youth literacy. But, I would like to come to a Golden K meeting to talk about what is available from the Library to your members and to update you on new initiatives and resources which continue to make the Library one of the best in the state.
