Attendance:  65 members, 2 guests

Location:  St. Paul Lutheran Church

 

The meeting was called to order by President Don Muff at 9:30 a.m.  Opening ceremonies were led by Roger Andersen.  Invocation was given by Don Hotchkiss. 

 

Announcements:

 

1.     Fred Walker.  Fred Walker is in the Green Hills Care Center.  He would welcome visitors.

 

2.     Election of Officers.    Don Muff presented the nominees for officers/directors for 2014-2015 as follows:

 

President – Dick Wilson

President-Elect – Jim Cornette

Vice President – Pete Peterson

Secretary – Larry Trede

Treasurer – Wayne Hagemoser

Director (term expires 10/1/15) – Glenn Hillesland

Director (term expires 10/1/16) – Joe Traylor

Director (term expires 10/1/16) – Sandy Fleck

Director (term expires 10/1/16) – Ed Augustine

 

Muff asked for nominations from the floor.  Hearing none, motion by Larry Vallery, seconded by Chuck Glotfelty, that the slate of officers/directors as presented be elected by unanimous ballot.  Motion carried.

 

3.     “Adopt-A-Road.”  Gene Pollmann announced that the delayed roadside clean-up will be held today.  Meet at Holubs Parking Lot at 12:30 pm.  Equipment will be provided.  Bring gloves and overshoes.

 

4.     International Problem-Solvers, ISU Dining.  Pollmann circulated sign-up sheets for the International Problem-Solvers Dining opportunity to be held on June 11-15th.  Volunteers are needed to help serve breakfast and lunches. 

 

5.     Fall Orientation, ISU Dining.  Pollmann announced that we have the opportunity help serve meals during the fall orientation session before ISU classes begin.  Sign-up sheets will be available later.  Dates are during the last full week of August.

 

6.     Farm Progress Show.  Muff announced that the Division 11 Clubs will not be assisting with the food tent at the Farm Progress Show because of the quota of workers needed can’t be fulfilled.

Speaker:  “ISU Track & Field for 2014-2015” by Martin Smith, Director & Coach of Track and Field at ISU.  He was newly hired as the head coach for the program and talked about his philosophy and style of coach.

 

Next Week’s Program.  Program next week is “Golden K Kiwanis – What We Do” by the Golden K Orientation Committee.

 

The meeting was adjourned by Muff at 10:30 am.
