Attendance:  55 members, 4 guests (Nevada interclub), 1 guest (T&C Kiwanis), 2 other

Sharing:

1.     Tom Peter.  Section of colon removed on Wednesday due to diverticulitis.  Removed more colon than anticipated.  Requested no visitors for a few days. 

2.     Duane Brodie.  Recovering at home from a lung ailment.  Expected to return soon.  Is homebound. 

3.     Pilgrim & Thanksgiving.  Howard McPhail shared a Thanksgiving quiz about the Pilgrims coming over on the Mayflower and the first Thanksgiving.  Fun & interesting.

 

Announcements:

1.     Fred Walker.  Visitation is today at 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Grandon Funeral Home.  Services on Friday afternoon at 1:00 pm at First United Methodist Church.  Golden K Singers will participate.  Tribute to Fred by Chuck Glotfelty.  Fred fit the definition of a “true” Kiwanian.  Club President.  Chaired 20th anniversary of Golden K Club.  Urged memorials to be given to Golden K Foundation in honor of Fred.

2.     December Program Newsletter.  Available from Club Secretary

 

Humor.  Provided by Pete Peterson

 

Program.  Kiley McLaughlin, Volunteer Coordinator, Reiman Gardens.  Talked about “Volunteer Opportunities at Reiman Gardens.”  Also, discussed and answered questions about other programs going on at the gardens.

 

Next Week.  No meeting next week due to Thanksgiving.
