2.      Tom Peter.  In attendance today.  Welcome back, Tom!!

3.      Story County Dental Clinic.  Open house on Friday, 12.05.14, starting at 7:30 am.  All are welcome.

 

Announcements:

1.      Bethesda Food Pantry Jar.  At the Board of Directors meeting today, a decision was made to discontinue the food pantry jar.  Food Pantry is one of our charity donations and felt that this was unnecessary duplication.

2.      Kiwanis 100th Anniversary.  Kiwanis will celebrate its 100th anniversary on January 21st.  Board is planning a special meeting on that date (Wednesday).  Featured speaker will be Bob Mitchell, Past District President.  Special 100th birthday treats that day.  Details announced later.  Note that this meeting will be our weekly meeting.  Will not meet on Thursday.

3.      Golden K Foundation.  Members reminded that if members need a year-end donation for tax purposes, donations can be made to the Ames Golden K Foundation.

Program:  “ISU Lunarobitics Club,” by Jason Hertoz and David Peiffer.  Excellent program on their national competition in the construction of a “lunar mining” robot.
