Attendance:  64 members, 2 guests

Location:  First United Methodist Church

 

The meeting was called to order by Vice President Pete Peterson at 9:30 am.  Opening ceremonies were led by Roger Andersen.  Invocation was given by Bob Farr.

 

Sharing and Announcements.

1.      Keith Peterson.  Tom Peter reported that Keith Peterson has a heart monitor and will be monitored for a time before any additional procedures are considered.

2.      Duane Brodie.  It was announced that Duane has been diagnosed with lung cancer.  Two small lesions were found and surgery will be on Monday to remove a portion of his lung.  He remains in good spirits.

3.      Assisting with Elections.  Pete reported that Jim Cornette has been in contact with the Story County Auditor regarding Golden K members assisting with elections.  Split shifts for volunteers will be allowed all volunteers must attend the training.

4.      July 9th Meeting.  The Golden K meeting on July 9th will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran.

 

Humor.  Given by Tom Peter.

 

Program.  “Update in ISU Construction Projects,” by Dean McCormick, Design/Construction Services, ISU.

 

Next Week.  “Who, What, and Why of Cancer Genetics,” by Mary Ellen Carano, Bliss Cancer Center.

 

The meeting was adjourned by Peterson at 10:30 am.
