Attendance:  53 members, 1 guest

Location:  St. Paul Lutheran Church

 

The meeting was called to order by President-Elect Pete Peterson at 9:30 a.m.  Opening ceremonies were led by Joe Traylor.  Invocation was given by Craig Ause.

 

Sharing Time and Announcements:

1.     Don Muff.  Reported that there were a record number of entries for the Run-for-Roses.

2.     Horace Lantz.  Suffered from dizziness and is currently Northcrest Health Center.  Card was circulated by George Beran.

3.     Fred Bunce.  Named as resident-of-month at Waterford Residence Home.

4.     Kiwanis Shirts.  Tom Peter is taking orders for Kiwanis shirts.  Long-sleeved are $25. Short-sleeved polo shirts are $21.  Four colors are available.

5.     Adopt-A-Road.  Gene Pollmann reported that 13 volunteers spent 28 hours cleaning the two-mile stretch of road on October 8th.  $3.00 was collected for cans and bottles.

6.     Ames Jaycees.   Celebrating their 100th Anniversary with an open house.  More details later.

Program.  “Youth and Shelter Services and Mental Health Issues,” Erin Kennedy, YSS.

 

Next Week.  Meet at St. Paul Lutheran.  Program is “Cultivation Corridor,” by Bent Willet, Director.
