Attendance:  62 members

Location:  First United Methodist Church

 

The meeting was called to order by President Jim Cornette at 9:30 a.m.  Opening ceremonies were led by Tom Peter.  Invocation was given by Craig Ause.

 

Sharing Time and Announcements:

 

1.     Keith Peterson.  Has been hospitalized with a liver ailment.  Expected to be released soon.

2.     Duane Brodie.  Welcomed back after having been hospitalized and recuperating for several week.  Welcome, Duane!

3.     Earl Canfield.  Announced that his daughter-in-law has been diagnosed with cancer.

4.     Kiwanis Shirts.  Tom Peter will be ordering shirts on Friday.  Any last minute orders should be given to him by noon, Friday.

5.     Gwen and Alan Spohnheimer.  Were introduced and honored at the ISU Volleyball match on Wednesday as long-time season ticketholders.

6.     Good Neighbors Concert.  To be held on November 8th, 2:00 p.m., Collegiate Presbyterian Church

 

Humor.  Given by Bob Farr.

 

Speaker.  “Story County Conservation,” by retired conservationist, Steve Lewka.

 

Next Week.  “Forestry and Farming,” by Bruce Wright.

 

The meeting was adjourned by Cornette at 10:30 am.
