Attendance:  67 members, 3 guests

Location:  First United Methodist Church

 

The meeting was called to order by President Jim Cornette at 9:30 a.m.  Opening ceremonies were led by Roger Andersen.  Invocation was given by Craig Ause.

 

Announcements and Sharing Time:

1.     Don Muff.  Reported that his granddaughter has been selected as a 1st team All-American.

2.     Doug Provow.  Wife celebrated her 90th birthday.

3.     Earl Canfield.  Reported that his daughter-in-law has lung cancer

4.     Music Appreciation Day.  Roger Andersen and Paul MacVey were recognized for the outstanding and long-standing contribution to Golden K Kiwanis for providing music for our weekly programs.  Refreshments for today were provided by the club and a certificate of appreciation was presented to Roger and Paul.

5.     Ballard Community Kiwanis Club.  Pete Peterson reported on our interclub to the Ballard Community Kiwanis Club.  10 club members were presented.  A check for $100 was presented to the club to help with start-up costs.

6.     Ames Noon Club Interclub on Friday.  Peterson announced that 5 Golden K members will be attending the Ames Noon Club on Friday.

7.     Paper Trailer.  Cornette announced that more help is needed today for handling paper and cardboard received at the paper trailer site.

 

Humor.  Provided by Lonnie Mannes

 

Program.  “Traveling in the Land of the Midnight Sun,” by Arnheld Hillesland. 

 

Next Meeting is Thursday, December 3, 2015.

 

The meeting was adjourned by Cornette at 10:30 am.
