Attendance:  67 members

Location:  First United Methodist Church

 

The meeting was called to order by President-Elect Pete Peterson at 9:30 am.  Opening ceremonies were led by Roger Andersen.  Group enjoyed singing together several Christmas carols.  Invocation was given by Tom Peter.

 

Sharing Time and Announcements:

1.     Steve Pelz.  A Christmas card and gift was presented to Steve Pelz, janitor for his extra efforts in helping with our weekly meetings.

2.     Larry Vallery.  Announced that his wife returned home from the hospital on Tuesday and is recovering from surgery.

3.     Jim Cornette.  Unable to attend the meeting today because of caregiving duties at home for his wife.

4.     Dick Wilson.  Reported that his son had knee replacement surgery but is still driving to Ames for the Christmas holidays.

5.     Paper Trailer.  Extra help needed today to unload paper from ISU Press and Northcrest.

6.     Project Eliminate.  One-Z collections last week exceeded $500 allow club to reach its goal of $1000 for a 7th Zeller through Project Eliminate.

7.     Next meeting is on January 7, 2016.

 

Humor.  Given by Lowell Richardson

 

Program.  “United Way in Story County,” by Shannon Bardole.  Talked about United Way’s emphasis on education, income, and health needs in the local area.  Fund over 90 projects within 30 agencies.

 

The meeting was adjourned by Peterson at 10:30 am.
