The meeting was called to order by President Don Muff at 9:30 a.m. Opening ceremonies were led by Roger Andersen. Invocation was given by Ted Solomon. Members with birthdays in December were recognized.
New Members. Horace Lantz was introduced as a potential new member. Dennis Senne was inducted as a new member. He retired from the USDA Vet. Services Lab in Ames. Dennis’s wife name is Joan. He has 3 children and 10 grandchildren. Welcome, Dennis!!
2014 Charity Donation Program. Don Muff announced that the board had approved the 2014 charity donation program today. Donations for 2014 will be similar to 2013. Check the website for details and listing of agencies.
One-Z. Project for Eliminate. Tom Peter announced that we are very close to reaching $1250 for another Zeller from the One-Z project. The goal is to collect $1250 by December 31st.
Humor. Humor was given by Duane Mangold.
Program. Program was given by Richard Johnson, Director, Iowa Legal Services Agency, Des Moines. He spoke on the topic, “How Our Iowa Laws Get Written.”
Next Week Program: “Moscow to St. Petersburg, Road Trip” by John Slaughter.
The meeting was adjourned by Muff at 10:30 a.m.
