The meeting was called to order by President Don Muff at 9:30 a.m. Opening ceremonies were led by Roger Andersen. Invocation given by Craig Ause.
Announcements:
1. Bill Anderson has lost his voice and is undergoing treatment for cancer.
2. Pete Peterson has Pancake Days tickets for sale. Sales are improving with better weather. Members signing up to help should check sheets provided by Bob Curry. Bob Curry indicated that help is needed on Friday afternoon and Saturday afternoon. See him today to sign up if interested.
3. Tom Peter announced that Al Bentley has been recognized as an Impact Donor for Project Eliminate. Also, KI is offering $250 toward anyone who wishes to become Zeller Donor. There are some rules regarding eligibility, particularly in that the donor must be a first-time Zeller Donor. KI is limiting the number of partial Zeller donors. Check with Peter if interested.
4. Muff reminded members to fill out Community Service sheets for January.
5. John Johnson announced that 6 members have signed up for an interclub on February 25th to Nevada Kiwanis Club. 8 members are needed for a double interclub. Nevada Kiwanis Club meets for breakfast at 6:30 am and program adjourns around 8:00 am. See Johnson if interested.

Program: Speaker was Robert Wallace, ISU Professor of Botany, who spoke on “The Botany of Beer.” A most interesting presentation on the use of barley and other cereal crops for the production of different types of beer. He covered the entire process of making beer on a large-scale commercial basis.
The meeting was adjourned by Muff at 10:30 am.
