The meeting was called to order by President Don Muff at 9:30 a.m. Opening ceremonies were led by Roger Andersen. Invocation was given by Bill Wunder
Announcements:
1. “Adopt-A-Road” Project. Pollmann circulated sign-up sheets for our 2-mile “Adopt-A-Road” Project. Meet on April 17th, 12:30 p.m., Holub’s parking. Equipment and vests will be provided. Should take about 1 ½ hours.
2. Upcoming Fund-Raising Projects. Tom Peter reviewed two upcoming fund-raising projects. Goal: $5000 thru ISU Dining. Odyssey-of-Minds is scheduled for May 24-June 1, 2014 and “International Future Problem-Solvers” will be held June 11-15, 2014. Both involve serving breakfast and lunch meals for ISU Dining. Sign-up sheets later.
3. Farm Progress Show. Muff announced that local Kiwanis clubs have been selected to work in food tents for Farm Progress Show. Dates: August 26-28th, Farm Progress Show site near Boone. Forty (40) volunteers are needed from Golden K. Will be an excellent fund-raising project. More information later.

Program. “Experience Galapagos with My Grandson,” by Dennis Keeney. Keeney showed some beautiful slides of his trip to the Galapagos Islands located off the coast of Ecuador. Enjoyed by all.
Program Next Week. “The East African Rift System,” by Carl Vondra.
