Attendance: 61 members, 6 guests (4 Nevada Interclub)
Location: First United Methodist Church
The meeting was called to order by President Don Muff at 9:30 a.m. Opening ceremonies were led by Roger Andersen. Invocation was given by Bob Faar.
Announcements:
1. Fred Walker. Fred Walker is home and going thru physical therapy. He would welcome visitors, please call first.
2. John Slaughter. Attended meeting today. Recovering from surgery.
3. Andy Bradley, District Gov. Jody Melcher announced that Andy Bradley, Nebr.-Ia. District Governor will be attending Nevada Kiwanis Club meeting on July 8, 6:30 a.m. Memorial Lutheran Church, Nevada and also Nevada Golden K Kiwanis Club meeting at 9:30 a.m. at same location. All members are encouraged to attend. Please notify Jody if plan to attend either meeting.
4. Interclub to Nevada Golden K. John Johnson announced that we will have an interclub to Nevada Golden K in conjunction with the Nebr.-Ia. Governor visit. Final details to be worked out at our meeting next week.
5. ISU Dining. Tom Peter thanked all members who worked at ISU Dining for the Odyssey of Minds Conference or International Problem Solvers Conference. We raised approximately $3900.00 with an accurate accounting to be provided at a later date.
6. Heartland Senior Bus Trips. Sandy Fleck announced that there are two opportunities available for bus trips sponsored by Heartland Senior Center. On July 23, participants can attend an Iowa Cubs baseball game leaving in mid-morning and returning that afternoon. Cost is $20/person. On August 13, participants can attend the Iowa State Fair leaving in morning and returning late afternoon. Cost is $30/person. Contact Sandy or Heartland right away if interested.

Program. Speaker for today was Mike Cox, Director, Story County Conservation District who talked about “Story County Conservation Water Quality Improvements.”
Next Week. Meeting next week is at St. Paul Lutheran Church.
