Attendance:  60 members, 1 guest

Location:  First United Methodist Church

The meeting was called to order by President Don Muff at 9:30 a.m.  Opening ceremonies were led by Roger Andersen.  Invocation was given by Doug Provow.  Andersen introduced members with July birthdays. 

Announcements:

1. Fred Walker.  Larry Vallery announced that Fred Walker hopes to attend Golden K next week.  Making good progress.

2. Leo Runge.  Announced that Leo Runge was hospitalized with appendicitis.  Has returned home.

3. Nevada Golden K Interclub.  John Johnson announced that we will have an interclub with Nevada Golden K on July 8^th.  Meeting is at 9:30 a.m. and District Governor Bradley will be in attendance.  Members interested in attending should meet at 8:45 a.m. at the north side of JC Penny parking lot in the North Grand Mall.

4. Community Service Hours.  Muff reminded members to fill out the community service hours reporting sheet for June.

Humor.  Provided by Dick Wilson

Program.  Speaker was Vik Dalal, ISU, who talked about “Solar Energy in Iowa and US.”

Next Week’s Program.  Program next week is “Child Protection Requirements for Kiwanis Members,” by Gerri Bugg, Division 11 District Governor.

The meeting was adjourned by Muff at 10:30 a.m.
