1. Fred Walker. Recently hospitalized. Will be moving to a house in north Ames in the near future. Still working on regaining his strength.
2. Beran’s 60th Wedding Anniversary. George and Jan Beran celebrating 60th wedding anniversary later this month.
3. John Johnson. Featured in an article about his bee hobby in the Ames Living publication this past week.
Announcements:
1. Kiwanis Shirts. Members ordering shirts can pick them up from Tom Peter. Cost is $25/shirt.
2. Pancake Days Ticket Sales. Wilson announced that a chairperson is needed for handing club’s ticket sales for Pancake Days.
Humor. Provided by John Slaughter.
Program. “Teamwork and LEGO Competition” by Camielle Sloan Schroeder, Manager, K-12 school program, College of Engineering, ISU. Camielle told about her work with LEGOs and robotics with young people involved in many different programs sponsored by College of Engineering. Emphasis is on STEM programs.
Next Week. “Getting Involved with Reiman Gardens,” by Kelly McLaughlin, Reiman Gardens, ISU.
