Attendance:  68 members, 4 guests

Location:  First United Methodist Church

The meeting was called to order by President Dick Wilson at 9:30 a.m.

Opening ceremonies were led by Roger Andersen.

Invocation given by Roger Balmer.

Announcements and Sharing Time:

1. Dennis Keeney.  Dennis had two articles published recently and has a new book out

2. Children Reading Project.  Jim Cornette updated the club on the Edwards Elementary Reading School Project.  At least twelve volunteers are needed.  Takes 1 hour per week.  Involved with 1^st grade students at elementary.  Serve for one semester (16 weeks).  Let Cornette or Trede know if interested.

3. Bill Mengeling.  Hospitalized with a slight stroke. 

4. New Members.  Wilson introduced Bruce Wight and Dennis Smith as potential new members.  Have submitted their applications.

5. “Stash the Trash.”  Will be held this coming Saturday, 9 am, Brookside Park.  Pollmann announced members participating.

Humor.  Provided by Larry Vallery.

Program.  Jerry Hatfield, USDA-ARS from Iowa State spoke on “Climate Change and Agriculture Production.”

Next Week.  Program will be “Thriving in Retirement” by Jennifer Margrett, ISU.

The meeting was adjourned Wilson at 10:30 am.
