Attendance: 71 members, 1 guest, 5 interclub (Ames Town & Country)
Location: First United Methodist Church
The meeting was called to order by President Dick Wilson at 9:30 am. Opening ceremonies were led by Roger Andersen. Invocation was given by George Beran.
Sharing Time and Announcements:
1. Pete Peterson. Reported that he had visited Duane Brodie. Duane is making steady improvement. Regaining his strength after having been bed ridden for 60 days. Would like visitors. Duane is at the Story County Medical Facility in Nevada (old hospital).
2. John Johnson. Tom Peter reported that John is home recuperating. Removed a very small portion of his lung and thyroid gland. Saw John outside working in his garden this week.
3. Doug Provow. Reported that his granddaughter was married in Costa Rica recently.
4. NAMI. Thank you note received for contribution
5. Installation Banquet. Deadline for reservations is today. $10/person. Held on September 24th. Ames Golf and Country Club.

Program. Given by Dr. Rick Cruse, ISU Agronomy Dept. and Director, of Iowa State University Water Center. Topic, “Food Security.”
Next Week. Program is the Officer/Board Installation Banquet, Ames Golf and Country Club. Meeting on October 1st will be at First United Methodist Church. Board meeting at 8:00 am
The meeting was adjourned by Wilson at 10:30 am.
