Ames Golden K volunteers: Gene P. at 232-7532 is recruiting for upcoming service projects:  

First, the annual Stash the Trash community-wide cleanup was drippy, rainy, muddy April 18.  Twelve Ames Golden K volunteers met at Brookside Park and worked for a total of 21 service hours.

UPCOMING:  the 2-mile “Adopt-a-Road” trash removal event will be held at 12:30, Thursday, May 14.  That day volunteers meet at Holub Greenhouse parking lot on East 13th, 1.3 miles east of the I-235 overhead bridges.  Sign up sheets will be available at our regular weekly meetings.  We need a minimum of 12 volunteers plus two pickup trucks and drivers.  Trash bags and safety vests will be furnished.
