On April 3-7, Youth and Shelter Services and Nebraska-Iowa Division 11 Kiwanis presented Teen Maze to 1,200 Seventh Grade Students from Story, Boone, Greene, and Jefferson Counties. Teen Maze experiential learning exercises are designed to provide seventh graders with the tools to make better lifestyle choices by helping them perfect their skills for real-life situations that they may face in the future. This event was held at the Boone County Fair Exposition Building. Twenty Eight members of Ames Golden K Kiwanis volunteered a total of 181 hours towards making Teen Maze a success. In addition, Ames Golden K donated $1,500 in financial support and supplied lunch for all Teen Maze volunteers on Monday, April 3.
