Willis L. Fiscus, 87, of Ames, IA, formerly of Marshalltown, IA, died Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at Northridge Village in Ames. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 17, 2019, at the First Congregational Church in Marshalltown, IA. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, June 16, 2019, at the First Congregational Church in Marshalltown. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery in LaMoille, IA. Memorials have been designated to the First Congregational Church, 312 West Main Street, Marshalltown, IA, 50158, or the LaMoille Congregational Church, 2215 Knapp Avenue, Marshalltown, IA, 50158. Willis LeRoy Fiscus was born June 27, 1931, to Leonard “Cecil” and Anna (Beier) Fiscus, in Parker, SD. He attended and graduated from Liscomb School. Willis served his country in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954 as a CPL(t) during the Korean War. He was united in marriage to Jane E. Melberg on April 2, 1955, in Marshalltown. Willis farmed for 31 years and was the custodian at Rogers Elementary for several years before retiring. He was a member of the First Congregational Church in Marshalltown, the LaMoille Congregational Church and the Ames Golden K Kiwanis. Willis enjoyed working outdoors and working with flowers. He especially loved time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Willis is survived by his son, Michael (Dalona) Fiscus of Hubbard, IA, son Mark (Rhonda) Fiscus of Ames, IA, daughter Susan (Jack) Pulliam of Des Moines, IA; brothers Donald (Helen) Fiscus of Liscomb, IA, Kenneth (Anne Marie) Fiscus of Marshalltown, Wayne (Jan) Fiscus of Conrad, IA; sister Joann (Wes) Boldt of Des Moines; granddaughters Hillary Alexander, Kristen Kinkhorst, Megan Davenport, Kathryn Penning, Amelia Wosepka, Ruth Fiscus; grandsons Joel Pulliam, Matthew Fiscus, Simon Fiscus, Franklin Fiscus; great grandchildren Chase Alexander, Roman Alexander, Janie Davenport, Connor Kinkhorst, Nathaniel Penning, Jeremiah Penning, and Jakub Wosepka. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane, and his sister, Ardeth Hunt.
