Longtime Kiwanian Dennis Keeney and wife Betty are moving in May. Dennis sent the following to bring us up-to-date and help us keep in touch.
The Keeney’s are heading for Wisconsin.
Betty and I are heading northeast. I have been a Kiwanian in Ames for nearly 30 years and have served all 3 clubs.
In early May, the moving truck leaves our Eisenhower home for 426 Wild Indigo Lane, Madison, Wisconsin, 53717.
We are going to a duplex at Antic Angels Prairie Point, a fairly new independent living retirement village in far western Madison-Middleton. The area is similar to Green Hills here in Ames. Besides moving back to a familiar area, (I was on faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Madison for 22 years) our oldest daughter lives close by. It is so important to have the support of family as we age.
So it’s goodbye to Golden K pancakes and Ames and Iowa State sports and culture. I am sure there will be a huge hole in my schedule on Thursday mornings. But I know you will be dedicated to improving the world, one child and one community at a time.
We wish you all the best.
